Ralph F. Cifrese, 82, of Long Valley, NJ passed away on Monday August 21, 2017 in Summit, NJ. Ralph was born on October 29, 1934 in Morristown, NJ to the late Dominick and Filomena Cifrese. He lived in Morristown and Wharton before moving to Long Valley 20 years ago. Ralph served two tours of duty in the U.S. Army.
Ralph retired from Warner Lambert as a Senior Scientist, 39 years after working his way up from an entry level position. While at Warner Lambert, he made many friends and worked on teams that were responsible for numerous patents. Following his retirement, Ralph was proud to work in consulting part-time. He was talented football player in his youth, and throughout his life enjoyed golfing, music, dancing, cooking, and watching sports. He was a warm, caring, and outgoing individual who enjoyed connecting with people.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Karen (Wood) Cifrese; three siblings, Vito Cifrese, Mary Tufano and husband Mike, and Grace Perillo; in-laws, Beverly and Kenneth Wood; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews; and by many other loving family members and friends.
Ralph's Life Celebration will include a gathering of friends and family on Sunday August 27, 2017 from 2PM-4PM at the William J. Leber Funeral Home (908) 879-3090, 15 Furnace Road (corner of Rt. 206) Chester, NJ 07930. Interment will be held privately by the family.
