Francesco “Frank” Altera, 63, of Califon, NJ passed away suddenly on April 11, 2018. Frank was born on October 16, 1954 in Pescopagano, Italy. He has lived in Califon for the past 30 years. Frank was a designer and draftsman supervisor for Exxon Mobil in Annandale, NJ.
Frank enjoyed fishing, especially for trout. He loved watching shows on PBS, especially Downtown Abbey, Frontline, and The Crown. Frank was very good with his hands, he did everything from gardening, creating things on his 3D printer, to building his home in Califon. He liked to listen to Classic Rock.
Frank is survived by his wife of 42 years, Deborah Altera, children, Alicia Lalancette and husband Paul, Adrianne Pepitone and husband Blaise, and Lauren DiCioccio and husband Brett, grandchildren, Noah and Maple, and sisters, Josephine Slavin and Angela Robinson.
A Celebration of Frank’s Life will include a visitation on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. An 11am funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 14 at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately by the family.
