Obituary of Charles Comerford
Charles William Comerford, 66 of Stanhope, NJ died on December 9th at Morristown Medical Center.
Visitation is on December 13 from 10 to 12 with a service at 12:00 at the William J Leber Funeral Home in Chester NJ. Burial is private.
Charlie was born on November 8, 1951 to Anna and Charles Comerford in the Bronx, NY. He grew up in Rockland County and graduated from the State University of NY at Albany. He worked in the metropolitan area as a technical writer/editor.
Charlie is survived by his wife Mollie, his niece and nephew Stacy and Dan, many cousins and friends from around the world.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Anna Quinn Comerford Pucciio, his father Charles Comerford and his brother William.
Charlie's passion was ham radio. He earned his license at age 15 and has been active since then. After hurricane Katrina, he volunteered to help with communications and spent 3 weeks on the gulf coast helping not only with communications, but pitching in to do whatever needed to be done. He earned a membership in FOC, a worldwide organization limited to 500 members who possess exemplary skills.
