In the early 1940s the Noll family relocated to the New Jersey area of the country and eventually settled in Denville, NJ.  Charles attended Mountain Lakes High School before going to the Colorado State College of Agriculture and Mining where he earned an Associate’s Degree in gun smithing.  Following college he enlisted in the US Navy where he served from 1952-1956.  In 1956 he married Janet Wythe of Mt. Tabor, NJ and they lived in Mt. Tabor for seven years before moving to Long Valley in 1963.  Both he and Janet lived in the same home in Long Valley for the remainder of their lives. Together they cared for, raised and loved their five children; Mark, Michael, Amy, Seth and Rebecca.

During Charles’ working years he was employed as a tool and die maker at Reaction Motors in Rockaway, NJ, Singer Sewing Machine in Denville, NJ and Allied Chemical in Morristown, NJ. Charles was a life member of the Long Valley First Aid Squad and served that organization and his community from 1965-2011.  He was also an honorary member of the Long Valley Fire Department.  In addition, he served on the Washington Township Juvenile Conference Committee and was also a member of Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church for over 50 years.  He is predeceased by his siblings; Dean Noll, Anne Noll and Dorathea Noll Heinzel as well as his loving wife of 59 years, Janet.

Charles is survived by his five children and their spouses; Mark and Mary Noll of Great Meadows,  Michael and Sarah Jane Noll of Chester Township, Amy and Bruce Lovenberg of Long Valley,  Seth and Patricia Noll of Long Valley and Rebecca and Christopher Lare of Long Valley.
