Obituary of Robert Kment

Robert Edward Kment,70, of Long Valley, NJ, passed away on September 7, 2018 at The Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice, after a long hard battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Robert's Life will include a visitation from 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. An 11am funeral will be held at Our Lady of the Mountain Church, 2 East Springtown Road in Long Valley, NJ on Thursday, September 13, 2018. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 85 Pleasant Hill Road, Chester, NJ 07930-0078.

Robert Edward Kment was born in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Vivian Kment on July 7, 1948. He attended Bogan High School and graduated in 1966. He went on to earn a degree in Business from Southern Illinois University. He was Vice President of Sales & Planning for Dun & Bradstreet, and retired in 2008, after 34 years with the company. He enjoyed golf, watching and attending The Bears games, weekend trips to the Army Football games with his closest and dearest friends, our Florida getaways, European vacations, but, most of all, spending time with his family and his four cherished grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his wife, Joyce Kment of Long Valley, NJ; His son, Daniel Kment, and wife Karen (Diehl), granddaughter Madeline and grandson, Sean, of RI. His son, Michael Kment and wife, Adriana (Castiglione), grandson, Nicholas, and granddaughter, Sophia, of NJ. Sister, Beverly (Thomas) Rudd, of Il., and sister Carol (Charles) Waldschmidt, of Pa. His mother-in-law, Anne Wisniewski, NJ. He leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Kment; his mother, Vivian Kment Nemejc; and, his stepfather, George Nemejc.
