Obituary of Mark J. Pellek
Mark J. Pellek, 61, of Long Valley, NJ passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at home. Mark was born on September 23, 1957 in Summit, NJ. He grew up in Mendham, NJ and attended St. Joseph's School and Mendham High School. Mark attended Glassboro and graduated from NJIT in Newark, NJ. He was the owner of Pellek Builders in Long Valley, NJ.
Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a NASCAR fan and Mark Martin was his favorite driver. Mark loved woodworking, and his craftsmanship can be seen in many homes around town. He was an avid reader. Mark also enjoyed spending Septembers at the shore on LBI.
Mark is survived by his brother, Andrew Pellek, his long-time partner, Renee Rudd, and by many loving cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Joan Pellek, and his brother, Michael Pellek.
A Celebration of Mark's Life will include a visitation from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. An 11am funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 6 at St. Joseph Church in Mendham, NJ. Interment will be held at Hilltop Cemetery in Mendham, NJ at a later date.
