Obituary of Virginia Hazel Pometti
Virginia Hazel (Yeaton) Pometti, 77, of Nutley, NJ passed away on Wednesday June 26, 2019 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Virginia was born on May 16, 1942 in Hoboken, NJ to the late Howard and Alice (Bocco) Yeaton. She lived in North Bergen, NJ and Jersey City, NJ before moving to Nutley six years ago. She loved vacationing with her family along the Jersey Shore and Cape May. She was an avid fan of QVC and Home Shopping Network. Her family has all the gifts she bought for them to prove it! Going out to dinner, listening to oldies music, reminiscing, telling stories, and drinking coffee were some of her favorite things. Simply being in the company of her family and friends brought her the most joy. The gift of family was Virginia's life passion. She is remembered as the kindest, most loving, selfless, and caring angel on earth who loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. She was the confidant her family and friends would seek guidance and comfort from as she always knew just what to say and how to say it. The sound of her voice was soothing to the heart and soul. Her family and friends cherished her and placed her on a well-deserved pedestal. She was proud of her family and the love they share for one another. Their bond and their love for her will forever be her legacy. She will always be the center of their lives. There was no one else like her. She was simply the best.
She is survived by her three devoted children, Richard Pometti and his wife Laura, Ann Marie McGlone, and Barbara Ann Chervenak and her husband Derek; four cherished grandchildren, Meaghan McGlone, Ryan McGlone, Jaclyn Pometti, and Danielle Milin; brother, Richard Yeaton his wife Nancy and their two sons (her nephews) Jason and Jamie, and by countless other loving family members and friends.
Virginia's Life Celebration will include a Memorial Mass on July 16, 2019 at 10:00am at St. Clare Roman Catholic Church, 69 Allwood Rd, Clifton, NJ 07014. Interment will be held privately by the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, Florida 33607.
