Obituary of James Walsh

James Walsh, 70, of Flanders, NJ, passed away on March 22, 2020 at Morristown Medical Center. James was born on July 19, 1949 in Bayonne, NJ to the late Charles Walsh and Frances (Walsh) Madasz. He grew up in Bayonne and later lived in South Plainfield, Cranford, and then 24 years in Warren Township, NJ, before moving to Flanders three years ago. Jim was a successful Mortgage Advisor and served 24 years as a Board Director for IMPAC Mortgage Holdings, Inc. of California. He often shared good business practices and sound advice, serving as a mentor to many friends and associates. Jim loved bringing people together and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. He had a passion for cooking, barbequing, and was known for his array of delicious soups. He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years Mary (Morris) Walsh, four devoted children, Kerry Annmarie Walsh and husband William Klika, III, Lisa King, Amie Walsh, and Nolan James Walsh; seven cherished grandchildren, William, IV, Winslow, Walker, Otto, Jasper, Owen, and Olivia; two loving siblings, Elizabeth Ann "Bettyann" Demola and her husband Thomas, and Robert Walsh and his wife Lorraine; and by many other loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by a grandson, Winston Klika. A funeral service and burial will be held privately by James' immediate family. His memorial service to celebrate his life will take place in the future.
