Obituary of Doris Rahill Gyure

Doris Rahill (Michel) Gyure, 83, of Long Valley, NJ passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Doris was born on February 24, 1938 in Rahway, NJ. She lived most of her life in Rahway before moving to Long Valley 35 years ago. She worked many years as a Sales Representative, first for Bag Packaging Corp. in Roselle, NJ, and most recently for Freedom Plastics in Oakland, NJ. Doris was a strong-willed woman, who was always on the go, and was never afraid to let her opinion be known. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and baking, and was known particularly for her delicious cheesecakes. Doris adored her dogs, but her greatest passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Frank J. Gyure; three devoted children, Cynthia Stellita and her husband Dennis, Shawn Rahill, and Dawn Kontos and her husband Stelio; three cherished grandchildren, Zachariah, Nikolaos, and Gabrielle; and by many other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, John James Rahill; and by her sister, Cathy Louise.

Doris's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 11am-1pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home (908) 879-3090, 15 Furnace Road (corner of Rt. 206) Chester, NJ 07930. A Funeral Service will begin at 1pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
