Obituary of Gary D'Aries

Gary D'Aries, 69, of Brookside, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 7, 2021 surrounded by his family. Gary was born on November 22, 1951 in Orange, NJ to the late Louis and Rosetta D'Aries. He grew up in West Orange, NJ and graduated from Mountain High School where he was an all-state running back for the football team and a member of the West Orange Athletic Hall of Fame since 1992. Gary was awarded a football scholarship to Emporia State in Kansas, receiving all-conference honors and earning a bachelor's degree in Business. He began his career by working at Burroughs Corp. and Rusco Electronic Systems before becoming the Co-Founder and CEO of IAS (Integrated Access Systems and Geoffrey Industries). The company was sold to Ingersoll Rand Co. and subsequently, Gary co-founded Geoffrey Consulting Services, where he served as Co-Partner and President. Later, he joined SCI as Director of Business Development.

Gary has spent most of his life in the Chester, NJ and Mendham, NJ, area where he was actively involved in the community for over 30 years. He was a sports enthusiast and loved attending any and all Mendham High School athletic events around the state of NJ. He kept active by playing golf, hiking, running, and biking. Gary enjoyed reading about history, Sudoku puzzles, classical music, and great food. He traveled to every corner of the globe but found great comfort at home with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Jeanne (Gervis) D'Aries; two loving sons, Geoffrey D'Aries and Brian D'Aries; devoted brother, Dennis D'Aries; and by many other loving family members and friends.
